Technical Customer Service (m/f/d) - Automotive Flat Rolled Products

Responsibilities & Qualifications

What awaits you:

  • Act as the primary point of contact for customers, coordinating closely with Development, Sales, Production, and Quality Assurance teams.
  • Increase customer satisfaction through regular on-site support, including press runs, production trials, and technical consultations.
  • Resolve technical and quality-related concerns collaboratively with customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Manage customer complaints in close cooperation with Quality, Planning, and Key Account Management functions.
  • Monitor account performance through relevant KPIs and contribute to the implementation of corrective actions when deviations occur.
  • Support Development Engineers in the industrialization of innovative products and the transfer of products between plants and production lines.
  • Support the Key Account Team with quotations, technical input, and day-to-day customer-related activities.
  • Monitor market developments and customer activities within the automotive structures segment and provide relevant feedback to the organization.

How You Convince Us

  • A university degree in Engineering is essential, preferably in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
  • A minimum of three years of customer-facing experience, preferably within the automotive industry, working with OEMs, Tier 1 or Tier 2 suppliers, or in a comparable Field Application Engineering role.
  • SAP knowledge (user).
  • Statistical analysis skills.
  • A strong technical understanding of automotive manufacturing processes; experience with press shop and assembly operations is considered an advantage.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills and strong conflict-resolution and stakeholder-management capabilities.
  • An entrepreneurial mindset combined with a proactive, customer-focused, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional and multicultural teams within a matrix organization.
  • The ability and the willingness to travel frequently to customer and production sites for between 25-50% of working time. This is an essential requirement of the role.
  • A valid UK driving licence.
