Technical Delivery Lead - Business Applications

Location: London (Hybrid)
Director Level
Salary: Competitive + bonus + benefits

Our client, a leading financial services company, is looking for a senior delivery leader who can bring genuine command and structure to a fast-evolving, multi-stream technology agenda.

In this role, you will take end-to-end ownership of technology delivery across concurrent initiatives, working closely with business and IT stakeholders.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Owning day-to-day delivery processes and ensuring ways of working are applied consistently and pragmatically across multiple concurrent workstreams
  • Taking direct accountability for the development team's delivery output
  • Facilitating planning and review cycles, working with Product and Technical leads to keep work appropriately prioritised and delivery-ready
  • Providing delivery assurance - ensuring work is complete, tested and fit for release, and that delivery artefacts meet internal and regulatory standards
  • Overseeing delivery performance from external partners, escalating issues promptly and constructively
  • Producing clear, accurate delivery reporting for senior business and governance stakeholders
  • Driving continuous improvement in delivery flow, quality and predictability across the function

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience operating at senior delivery leadership level, with genuine multi-stream leadership across development teams
  • Direct experience taking ownership of a development team's output and driving it to delivery
  • Strong grounding in Agile/iterative delivery practices; Scrum Master background or equivalent highly relevant
  • Experience working across both internal delivery teams and external/third-party partners
  • Comfortable operating in a regulated, complex environment with high standards for delivery assurance and governance
  • A pragmatic, structured operator who can bring order to shifting priorities and competing demands
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with the gravitas to operate credibly at Director level across a distributed, international organisation
