Technical Delivery Lead – AWS Platform
Location: Bristol or London
Overview
Our client is a large UK mobility services organisation seeking a Technical Delivery Lead to lead its AWS Native Platform Team.
The role will be responsible for driving the adoption and optimisation of AWS Native services, ensuring platform development aligns with business objectives and delivers value across the organisation.
The successful candidate will lead a team of platform engineers, provide technical direction, oversee service delivery and work closely with stakeholders to align priorities and improve the platform experience for users.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a clear vision for using AWS Native services, including PaaS, to support organisational goals.
- Develop and maintain a roadmap for AWS Native platform adoption and optimisation.
- Prioritise platform initiatives based on business value.
- Build collaborative relationships with stakeholders to understand evolving requirements and align AWS services accordingly.
- Build, manage and mentor a team of platform engineers.
- Foster a collaborative and innovative culture within the team and across the wider platform function.
- Ensure team members have the skills and training required to use AWS Native services effectively.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of AWS services, including PaaS offerings and best practice.
- Provide technical guidance and support to team members and stakeholders.
- Architect and implement scalable, secure and cost-effective AWS solutions.
- Oversee the delivery of AWS Native services against agreed service levels and performance requirements.
- Identify and address performance bottlenecks and service issues.
- Monitor and optimise cloud resource utilisation.
- Enable self-service access to AWS Native services for customers.
- Create intuitive and user-friendly interfaces for platform users.
- Provide appropriate documentation and support resources.
- Develop strategies to optimise cloud expenditure.
- Establish KPIs to measure AWS service adoption and utilisation.
- Track and report metrics including cost savings, platform uptime, developer satisfaction and service utilisation.
- Analyse performance data to identify opportunities for improvement and optimisation.
