About The Role
At BT, we're delivering some of the UK's most critical and technically complex digital infrastructure and secure platform solutions. As part of this work, we're looking for a Technical Delivery Manager to join our Digital team and play a key role in delivering technical projects for specialist customer environments.
This is a delivery-focused role that combines technical project leadership with stakeholder coordination across multiple teams. You'll be responsible for managing the end-to-end delivery of cloud and data centre-based solutions, ensuring projects are delivered to agreed timelines, budgets and customer requirements.
Working alongside designers, architects, infrastructure specialists, support teams and delivery colleagues, you'll act as the central point of coordination across technical workstreams. You'll help turn customer requirements into successful outcomes while supporting BT's contractual commitments on large-scale, high-value programmes.
If you're an experienced Technical Project Manager with a passion for delivering complex technical solutions and enjoy working across a broad range of stakeholders, we'd love to hear from you.
What You’ll Be Doing
- Manage the end-to-end delivery of technical projects within secure customer environments.
- Coordinate technical workstreams across infrastructure, applications, support and design teams.
- Review and interpret customer requirements to ensure successful delivery outcomes.
- Develop, maintain and manage project plans, timelines, dependencies and risks.
- Drive project delivery through virtual teams and third-party stakeholders.
- Monitor project progress and ensure delivery against agreed milestones and contractual commitments.
- Identify and resolve delivery issues, escalating risks where appropriate.
- Work closely with customers and internal stakeholders to provide updates and manage expectations.
- Support the delivery of cloud and data centre environments for specialist customer requirements.
- Ensure delivery activities comply with governance, security and operational standards.
- Manage multiple competing priorities across a varied technical project portfolio.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives across delivery processes and practices.
- Produce clear reporting and management information for project and senior stakeholders.
- Support successful transition of solutions into operational service.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
