Delivery Manager

Employment Type: Permanent
Location: Hybrid - 3 days per week on site in Manchester
Salary: £69,000 + Car Allowance + Bonus
Driving Requirement: A full UK driving licence is required for this role due to occasional travel.

About The Role

A permanent opportunity has arisen for a skilled Delivery Manager to join a leading specialist in solutions, supporting top-tier retail businesses across the UK.

Based in Manchester, this role will take ownership of driving and streamlining a key portfolio of digital infrastructure and systems transformation initiatives. You will lead the delivery strategy across major operational projects, including modernising core e-commerce infrastructure, migrating data platforms to Microsoft Fabric, consolidating WMS and ERP environments across multiple operating entities, and upgrading internal collaboration platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • Portfolio and Delivery Management: Oversee end-to-end delivery across core strategic transformation programmes.
  • Workflow and Jira Discipline: Drive agile delivery best practices following an upcoming migration to Jira. Manage daily ticket workflows, ensure tickets are well-defined, clear blockers, and manage ticket ordering.
  • Capacity and Resource Allocation: Balance workloads, assess team capacity, resolve cross-project dependencies, and allocate resources effectively across concurrent projects.
  • Stakeholder Reporting and Risk Management: Deliver clear, transparent updates to senior leadership regarding project milestones, timescales, and progress. Identify potential delays early, evaluate ripple effects across the portfolio, and re-prioritise resources swiftly when business needs evolve.
  • Technical Engagement: Discuss systems, architecture, and technical challenges comfortably with developers, technical teams, and non-technical retail stakeholders alike.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
