Are you an experienced Azure, M365 or Infrastructure specialist who enjoys delivering complex technical projects rather than BAU support?

As a Technical Delivery Specialist at Cantium, you'll lead the implementation of enterprise-scale Microsoft cloud and infrastructure solutions, working on high-profile projects that support public sector organisations across the UK. You'll act as a technical lead, partnering with Solution Architects, Project Managers and customers to deliver secure, scalable and innovative technology solutions.

This role would suit a Senior Azure Engineer, Senior M365 Engineer, Infrastructure Specialist, Cloud Specialist or Senior Systems Administrator looking to take ownership of technical delivery while mentoring others and influencing technical direction.

Who we are

Cantium Business Solutions is part of Commercial Services Group (CSG), one of the UK’s largest local authority-owned trading organisations, operating 35+ businesses across education, energy, IT, procurement, HR and more.

With over 1,700 employees, our ambition is to create value and impact for every customer, every day.

Our mission is simple. We support the delivery of better public services to help people live, learn and thrive. This purpose underpins everything we do.

Why this role matters

You will play a key role in delivering transformational Microsoft cloud and infrastructure projects, ensuring customers benefit from modern, secure and scalable technology solutions.

This is a role where technical expertise, project delivery capability and collaboration are essential, with responsibility for leading the implementation of complex Azure, Microsoft 365 and hybrid infrastructure solutions. You'll be a trusted technical expert, helping shape delivery approaches and supporting the development of others within the team.

What you'll be doing

  • Leading the technical delivery of Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365 and hybrid infrastructure projects.
  • Designing and implementing enterprise-scale cloud and on-premise solutions.
  • Working closely with Solution Architects, Project Managers and stakeholders to deliver project outcomes.
  • Providing technical leadership and subject matter expertise across project teams.
  • Supporting the planning, coordination and delivery of complex technical workstreams.
  • Producing and maintaining technical documentation including technical designs, work packages and change requests.
  • Managing technical risks, dependencies and issues throughout project lifecycles.
  • Supporting governance and assurance activities to ensure solutions are fit for purpose.
  • Investigating and resolving complex technical challenges and escalations.
  • Collaborating with operational teams to ensure successful handover into support services.
  • Mentoring and developing colleagues through knowledge sharing and technical guidance.
  • Contributing to continuous improvement initiatives and the ongoing development of delivery standards.
  • Maintaining awareness of emerging technologies and industry best practice.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
