Technical Delivery Support – OT Cyber Security

Contract Role

Scotland / Hybrid | UK Remote Considered

We are supporting a major OT Cyber Security transformation programme within a global FMCG manufacturing environment, with approximately US$10m of investment during FY27 and continued investment planned beyond this.

The programme is focused on strengthening cyber resilience across a large manufacturing estate and includes initiatives spanning network segmentation, secure remote access, asset management, application management, identity and access management, and continuous threat detection.

We are looking for a Technical Delivery Support contractor to work alongside the Technical Lead and Project Managers, providing hands-on technical coordination and delivery support across multiple projects.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who understands technology within a live FMCG manufacturing or OT environment and is comfortable working across infrastructure, sites, suppliers, and technical teams.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Provide day-to-day technical delivery support across multiple OT Cyber Security projects.
  • Work closely with Project Managers to resolve routine technical and infrastructure queries.
  • Identify and coordinate infrastructure, connectivity, hosting, access, environment, and site dependencies.
  • Work with manufacturing site Engineering and OT teams to understand local environments and deployment constraints.
  • Support technical discovery, site readiness, implementation sequencing, testing, cutover, and transition activities.
  • Coordinate technical prerequisites and dependencies between sites, suppliers, and internal technology teams.
  • Act as a key coordination point between Project Managers, infrastructure teams, OT teams, suppliers, and technical SMEs.
  • Maintain technical delivery documentation, site information, dependencies, and implementation decisions.
  • Apply established technical patterns and standards consistently across sites.
  • Identify opportunities to reuse solutions and improve delivery approaches across the manufacturing estate.
  • Escalate complex, novel, or high-risk technical decisions to the Technical Lead or relevant SME.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Desirable

  • Previous experience within OT Cyber Security or industrial technology.
  • Experience with manufacturing site infrastructure.
  • Exposure to cyber security technologies, network segmentation, secure remote access, asset management, or related initiatives.
  • Experience working with global or multi-site organizations.
  • Previous experience within a large FMCG/manufacturing organization.

Important

This is not an architecture or technical leadership role. You will not be expected to own programme architecture, approve security exceptions, or define technical strategy.

Instead, you will be the person who coordinates, unblocks, and drives technical delivery forward, allowing the Technical Lead to focus on architecture, technical strategy, and governance. The source profile similarly defines the role as coordinating, unblocking, executing, and documenting rather than owning programme technical strategy.

Location

Scotland preferred, with hybrid working and regular engagement with manufacturing sites across Scotland.

Candidates elsewhere in the UK can be considered where they have the right experience and are able to travel to site when required.
