Technical Demonstrator: Healthcare and Science

Location: Bury St Edmunds
Pay: GBP14.00 - GBP15.00 per hour
Hours: 18.5 hrs/week (Term Time)

Are you an experienced healthcare professional, science technician, or educator looking for a rewarding, hands-on role?

Randstad is proud to recruit for clients in Bury St Edmunds to recruit a Technical Demonstrator in Healthcare to join their dynamic Health and Applied Sciences Faculty.

Dual Role Option: This post can also be combined with the Work Placement Officer: Health and Applied Science post. Please indicate in your application if you wish to be considered for both.

Key Responsibilities

  • Hands-on Demonstration: Deliver practical healthcare sessions, demonstrating equipment use and clinical/laboratory techniques safely to students.
  • Classroom and Lab Support: Maintain, prepare, and safely store healthcare training equipment and resources across teaching areas.
  • Student Progression: Assist learners with coursework, research skills, assignment writing, and exam preparation.
  • Assessment and Tracking: Assess student practical performance against pre-set schemes of work and track learner progress.
  • Safeguarding: Foster a safe, inclusive, and engaging learning environment for young adults.

What We Are Looking For

  • Qualifications: Minimum Level 3 qualification in Healthcare, Clinical Support, Applied Science, or a related field.
  • Skills: Excellent communication, strong organisational skills, and a genuine ability to engage and inspire young people.
  • Experience: Background in healthcare delivery, training, education, clinical instruction, or technical support roles (highly advantageous).
