Technical Design Authority - Subscriber Management
📍 Newbury, UK (Hybrid)
At VodafoneThree, we're building the next generation of mobile connectivity. As we continue our transformation journey, we're looking for a Technical Design Authority (TDA) - Subscriber Management to lead the design, evolution and optimisation of critical subscriber data management platforms that support millions of customers across our network. This is a highly influential technical leadership role where you'll shape the future of our 4G and 5G core network architecture, drive strategic design decisions, and work with industry-leading partners including Nokia, Ericsson, Tech Mahindra, TCS and Capgemini.
What you'll be doing
- Provide technical leadership across Subscriber Management platforms and services.
- Own solution design and delivery for critical network capabilities including UDM, UDR, HLR/HSS, SPR and EIR.
- Define and govern high and low-level designs, ensuring robust, scalable and future-ready solutions.
- Drive technical strategy, innovation and continuous improvement across the domain.
- Lead technical engagement with suppliers, systems integrators and internal stakeholders.
- Support large-scale transformation programmes across core network and cloud environments.
- Ensure network performance, resilience, security and regulatory requirements are met.
- Champion best practices in automation, testing, release management and operational excellence.

What we're looking for
Essential Experience
- Extensive telecommunications network design and architecture experience.
- Strong understanding of 3G, 4G and 5G Core Network architectures.
- Deep expertise within Subscriber Management technologies, including:
- UDM
- UDR
- HLR/HSS
- SPR
- EIR
- ENUM & MNP
- Strong knowledge of Diameter interfaces including S6a, Sh, SWx, Zh, SLh, Cx and S13.
- Experience delivering complex technical programmes involving multiple suppliers and stakeholders.
- Telco Cloud expertise, including virtualised and cloud-native network functions.
- Ability to translate business requirements into strategic technical solutions.

Desirable Experience
- IMS architecture.
- CNF and VNF deployments.
- Cloud technologies and network transformation programmes.
- Nokia and/or Ericsson subscriber management solutions.
- Systems Integrator management experience.
