Technician Designer | Design & Build | Workplace £60,000

My client is looking for an experienced Technical Designer to join a busy design team working on commercial office interiors in London. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical detail with creative problem solving and delivering high quality design information that supports successful project delivery.

What you’ll do

  • Produce contract drawing packs, licence to alter packs, planning drawings, and detailed design drawings.
  • Carry out site surveys and process Matterport surveys to support accurate project information.
  • Work closely with the Design Director, Technical Director, and CAD team to keep design, technical, and cost information aligned.
  • Support project implementation by working with the build team and attending design coordination meetings with subcontractors.
  • Maintain high standards across CAD output, filing, layering, and drawing control systems.
  • Ensure drawings comply with UK Building Control regulations, CDM requirements, and disability/accessibility standards.
  • Support senior technicians with handover meetings, design reviews, site surveys, and contract pack production.

What we’re looking for

  • Experience in commercial office interiors.
  • Strong AutoCAD skills, with advanced capability preferred.
  • Advanced Revit experience.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, and Photoshop skills.
  • A relevant BTEC qualification or higher.
  • A motivated, enthusiastic team player with a positive, can-do approach.
