We're recruiting a Technical Designer for an established workplace design and build business delivering commercial interior projects across London.
This is a hands-on technical role for someone who enjoys the point where design meets construction - taking creative concepts and turning them into accurate, coordinated information that can actually be built.
The role
You'll work as part of a multidisciplinary project team alongside designers, pre-construction, commercial, project management and site teams.
Projects move quickly, so you'll need to be comfortable taking ownership of your work and solving technical issues rather than waiting for every decision to be made for you.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Producing detailed technical drawing packages from design development through to construction
- Developing design concepts into coordinated, buildable solutions
- Working primarily in Revit alongside other design and BIM tools
- Coordinating architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical information
- Identifying and resolving clashes and constructability issues
- Supporting design coordination meetings and project reviews
- Responding to RFIs and technical queries during construction
- Reviewing drawings, revisions and technical information from consultants and suppliers
- Supporting site teams with technical clarification where required
- Assisting with Building Regulations, CDM and wider compliance requirements
- Contributing to as-built information and practical completion documentation

What we're looking for
You'll ideally have around 2-5+ years of relevant technical design experience and a background in Architecture, Interior Architecture, Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
You should be able to demonstrate:
- Strong Revit capability
- Experience producing detailed construction drawings and technical packages
- Good understanding of construction detailing and buildability
- Experience coordinating across multiple design disciplines
- Exposure to commercial interiors, workplace design or design & build projects
- Confidence working with project managers, consultants and construction teams
- Good understanding of Building Regulations and technical compliance
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to manage several priorities at once

Experience with AutoCAD, BIM coordination tools, Navisworks, Autodesk Construction Cloud or another Common Data Environment would be useful.
