Job Title: Technical Detailer
Location: Cookstown
About The Role
As a Technical Detailer you will play a crucial role in designing and delivering customised masonry support drawings to customer specifications, collaborating closely with clients, project and structural engineers.
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the role is full-time, 37 hours per week, based in Cookstown, County Tyrone.
This is an excellent opportunity for a technically minded individual with strong structural detailing experience to develop their career in a busy growing environment.
Hours of Work:
- Monday to Thursday: 8.00am - 4.30pm
- Friday: 8.30am - 2.00pm
What You'll Be Doing
- Prepare and produce fabrication drawings using Tekla Structures in accordance with project requirements, ensuring compliance with relevant standards.
- Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and design information.
- Liaise with engineers, project managers and customers where applicable to resolve technical queries.
- Identify discrepancies and installation issues prior to manufacture.
- Make revisions to drawings as required through the project lifecycle, working to agreed timescales and quality standards.
- Ensure accurate and detailed document control is in place to ensure drawings are issued correctly.

What You'll Need To Succeed
Success in the role comes from combining technical knowledge with a passion for problem solving and collaborative working.
You will also demonstrate:

- Excellent communication skills, with the ability and confidence to liaise with customers and build strong relationships.

- Strong organisational skills and ability to work at pace with multiple priorities.
What We're Looking For
- Previous demonstrable experience in structural steel detailing, specifically Tekla structures.
- Basic proficiency in CAD software (e.g. AutoCAD) and other relevant design tools.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
- Knowledge and understanding of construction industry.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high quality work.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills to build positive customer relationships.
- Problem solving abilities and a proactive approach to addressing technical challenges.
