Technical Director, AI Consulting

London

£145,000-£160,000 base salary + bonus

FIND have partnered with a global data & AI consultancy that is expanding rapidly in the UK. They're bringing in senior delivery leaders to head up AI programmes for major organisations across consumer, financial services and healthcare.

Our client keeps business development and delivery separate. Business Directors hold the sales targets, and Technical Directors are trusted to lead the work itself.

What does this mean for you?

  • No sales targets; your responsibility is technical delivery
  • Work directly with CIOs and their direct reports, as the senior technical voice in the room
  • A horizontal remit across sectors rather than being tied to one industry
  • UK teams with real autonomy in how they run
  • Equity in a PE-backed business with ambitious growth plans
  • A clear route to Partner, with strong performers making the step in 1 to 3 years

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

The role

This is a delivery leadership role with no sales target. Business development stays with the Business Directors, so the Technical Director can focus on getting complex AI work built and landed properly.

  • Own delivery end to end, from technical design and build through testing and into production
  • Be the senior technical voice with CIOs and their direct reports
  • Shape how AI is deployed for clients, including where humans stay in the loop, what guardrails are needed and how it runs safely at scale
  • Work across sectors, mainly consumer & retail, banking, FS & PE, and healthcare
  • Help build a UK team that has real autonomy in how it runs
