Technical Director – Architecture | Data Centres
London or Birmingham | Hybrid
A newly created Technical Director opportunity within its growing Data Centre Architecture business. This is a senior leadership appointment for an architect with a strong track record across hyperscale, co-location or other mission-critical data centre projects who wants to play a significant role in shaping the next stage of a growing specialist capability.
The business is currently delivering a portfolio of major UK hyperscale data centre projects, with the ambition and potential to pursue further opportunities across Europe as the business continues to build its teams and capability.
The opportunity
As Technical Director, you will provide senior technical and architectural leadership across major data centre programmes, from:
- Site due diligence, feasibility and campus masterplanning
- Concept and detailed design
- Technical coordination and design governance
- Construction documentation and procurement
- Construction-stage services

You’ll work at a senior level across Architecture, Civil & Structural, MEP, Fire, Security and other specialist disciplines, ensuring solutions are coordinated, technically robust and buildable.
What they’re looking for
We’re interested in speaking with senior architects who have:
- Significant experience delivering data centre / mission-critical projects
- A strong understanding of hyperscale or co-location environments
- Experience leading technical design and multidisciplinary coordination
- Strong client-facing and stakeholder management skills
- The credibility to operate at Technical Director / senior leadership level
- An interest in business development, team development and sector growth
