Biodiversity Technical Director

Location: London (hybrid, 3 days a week in the office). UK-based candidates outside London considered.

Salary: £90,000 - £130,000+ annual bonus + equity participation

Benefits: Generous holiday, flexible working, training budget, professional membership, medical cash plan and family-friendly benefits

About the firm

Our client is a specialist ESG advisory firm working with financial institutions on major development projects in emerging markets. When a lender funds a mine, a wind farm, a port or a transmission line, our client gives independent assurance that the project won't cause serious environmental or social harm, and advises on how to fix what it finds. It's a private equity-backed firm, growing quickly and supported by a global network of associate experts.

The role

This is a senior leadership appointment: own the technical quality of the firm's biodiversity work, grow the portfolio and build the team. You'll be the firm's senior biodiversity voice to lenders, developers and DFIs. This is not a delivery role with a Director title. It carries the technical standard, the client relationships, the commercial performance and the people, with a clear path to equity.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

  • Build, coach and develop the biodiversity team.
  • Own project budgets, risk and commercial performance.
