Job Overview

Arm is redefining what is possible in cloud and data center computing. Our Neoverse platforms are helping power the next generation of infrastructure – combining advanced silicon with the system software required to turn ambitious technology into production-ready solutions.

We have a requirement for a Technical Director in the infrastructure solutions software team in our CE-SW group to join in a technical leadership role for a globally distributed software engineering team delivering highly complex software for our cloud and data center products

This is an opportunity to make an impact at scale!

Responsibilities

You will:

  • Provide technical direction and expertise to the team and ensure strong technical progress across SoC, firmware and system validation from pre-silicon through silicon bring-up and production readiness.
  • Partner with senior leaders across hardware, software, architecture and product teams to align with technology and delivery strategy and drive key decisions at the organisation level.
  • Actively analyse product requirements, architecture specs and industry standards to drive software design. Lead development practices for best-in-class software efficiency, quality, and predictability

Required Skills and Experience :

  • Extensive experience delivering complex system software and technical leadership of large, globally distributed engineering organizations within embedded or infrastructure SoC space.
  • Strong technical background in System-on-Chip (SoC), firmware, platform software and system-level validation across pre-silicon and silicon environments.
  • Deep expertise low-level systems, including bootloaders, device drivers, OS fundamentals (preferably Linux), and a good understanding of computer architecture.
  • Excellent technical judgement, leadership and communication skills, with a proven ability to influence senior collaborators and drive decisions across engineering organizations.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
