Technical Director - Mechanical Engineering | Water Sector
UK-wide - London / South East Area
£90,000 - £100,000 Per Annum plus Benefits
Hybrid - 3 days travel/office based
The Opportunity
We're looking for an experienced Technical Director - Mechanical Engineering to provide technical leadership across major UK Water Sector projects. This is a senior leadership position combining technical expertise, client engagement, and business growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership and strategic direction across the national Mechanical Engineering practice.
- Act as a recognised technical authority, overseeing complex multidisciplinary projects and providing solutions to challenging technical issues.
- Lead technical input into major bids and proposals, while developing client relationships and identifying business growth opportunities.
- Grow and develop the Mechanical Engineering capability, mentoring teams and driving improvements in technical standards and delivery.

What We're Looking For
- Chartered Mechanical Engineer with extensive experience in senior technical leadership roles.
- Proven experience within the UK Water Sector is essential, particularly across water/wastewater treatment and pumping systems.
- Strong expertise in pumps, blowers, screens, chemical dosing systems, UK design standards, CDM, and DSEAR.
- Commercially astute with experience in client engagement, winning proposals, business growth, and leading complex multidisciplinary projects.
