About Us
Custom Covers (1984) Ltd is a successful and growing manufacturing company established in 1984. We design and manufacture specialist fabric structures and products for various sectors including; Marquee/Events, Industrial and Military applications.
Our work has featured on high-profile projects including The Great British Bake Off and The Grand Tour. We are looking to expand our Technical Department with a motivated and enthusiastic Technical Draughtsperson/CAD Technician.
Previous experience in fabric manufacturing is desirable but not essential, as full training will be provided for the right candidate.

As part of our Technical Department, you will be responsible for producing manufacturing drawings and technical information to support our in-house production teams and subcontract manufacturers.
You will also contribute to the development of new products and designs, assist with measuring samples, and occasionally visit customer sites to take measurements.
Key Responsibilities
- Produce detailed manufacturing drawings and technical documentation.
- Prepare drawings for subcontract manufacturers.
- Support the development of new products and manufacturing solutions.
- Measure and assess samples for production purposes.
- Conduct site visits to take measurements and gather project information.
- Work closely with production teams and other departments to ensure successful project delivery.

About You
We are looking for someone who is:
- Flexible and willing to learn new skills and techniques.
- A strong communicator with good attention to detail.
- Able to work effectively as part of a team.
- Comfortable working in a manufacturing environment.
- In possession of a full UK driving licence.
