TSR Group is looking for an experienced and motivated Technical Engineer to join our growing team.
This practical and varied role involves the installation, programming, commissioning, and maintenance of intruder alarm, CCTV, access control, AV, structured data, and Smart Home systems. You will work across commercial and high-end residential environments, delivering reliable, integrated solutions designed around each client’s requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Install, programme, and commission commercial access control systems
- Install and configure Texecom intruder alarm systems
- Install and configure Hikvision CCTV systems
- Configure and commission Home Automation (Control4) and Building Automation (Loxone) systems
- Install and certify structured data cabling, including data outlets, patch panels, and network cabinets
- Build, terminate, and test AV, data, and control panels and equipment racks
- Install and configure commercial AV systems, including displays, speakers, meeting room equipment, and associated controls
- Configure wired and wireless networks
- Support technical design, system specification, site surveys, and project planning
- Diagnose system faults and complete servicing, maintenance, and remedial works
- Provide clear system demonstrations and user training to customers
- Produce accurate job reports, test results, and handover documentation
- Ensure all work meets TSR Group’s quality standards and complies with relevant regulations and health and safety requirements
- Support the design team with AutoCAD (training can be provided)
- Maintain the Control4 showroom and general office IT network

About You
You will have:
- Relevant experience installing and commissioning intruder, CCTV, and access control, AV, data, and Smart Home systems
- Knowledge of IP networking, Wi-Fi, and connected building systems
- The ability to terminate, test, and fault-find data cabling and control wiring
- Confidence working from technical drawings and system schematics
- Strong technical, fault-finding, and problem-solving skills
- A reliable and organised approach, with close attention to detail
- The ability to take responsibility for your work and consistently deliver high standards
- A professional and approachable manner when working with customers and colleagues
- The ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a wider project team
- A full UK driving licence

Experience with Paxton, Texecom, Hikvision, Control4, or Loxone systems is essential. Relevant manufacturer-specific training will be provided where required.

Role Details
- Location: Based in Redditch, Worcestershire, with travel to sites throughout the UK
- Hours: 45 hours per week
- Salary: To be confirmed
