About the Role
This role will provide broad exposure across the business before developing into a specialist technical sales position. You will learn how engineering products are designed, manufactured, costed and supplied to customers whilst supporting the commercial team with quotations, customer enquiries and sales administration.
Commercial and Sales Support
- Support the commercial team with customer enquiries and quotation activities
- Assist in preparing customer quotations and cost estimates
- Maintain quotation records and commercial documentation
- Communicate with customers regarding enquiries and project requirements
- Support customer relationship activities and follow-up actions

Estimating and Costing
- Learn and apply company estimating and costing procedures
- Assist in producing quotations for precision machined components, tooling and engineering services
- Develop an understanding of machining times, materials, subcontract processes and overhead costs
- Support the preparation of detailed cost breakdowns for customer quotations
Engineering and Manufacturing Exposure
- Gain an understanding of precision machining, tooling manufacture and aerospace engineering requirements
- Learn to interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Develop knowledge of manufacturing methods, materials and production processes
- Work with engineering, production and quality teams to understand the complete manufacturing lifecycle

- Assist with data entry, reporting and administrative tasks
- Support continuous improvement activities where appropriate
- Maintain accurate records and documentation
- Comply with company quality, health and safety and business procedures
