This market-leading beverage manufacturing business seeks a hands-on Technical & ESG Compliance Manager to lead and coordinate quality, environmental, compliance, and health & safety activities across the operation. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys driving improvement, keeping audits on track, embedding best practice, and making a real impact on how a business operates day to day.

Role Overview

Working closely with the Operations Director, you'll be the driving force behind BRCGS compliance, ESG initiatives, environmental management, and operational governance. You'll help ensure the business remains audit-ready, sustainability-focused, and fully compliant, while championing a culture of quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities

  • Maintain and continuously improve BRCGS and Quality Management Systems.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits.
  • Drive compliance, document control, and corrective action processes.
  • Support product compliance, traceability, and supplier standards.
  • Coordinate ISO 14001 Environmental Management activities.
  • Lead ESG reporting, sustainability initiatives, and B Corp activities.
  • Support health & safety systems, risk assessments, and incident investigations.
  • Manage supplier compliance and onboarding processes.
  • Deliver training and help embed a strong quality, safety, and sustainability culture.
  • Report on compliance performance and identify improvement opportunities.

People Profile

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Experience in compliance, quality, ESG, sustainability, environmental, or H&S roles.
  • Strong knowledge of BRCGS standards and Quality Management Systems.
  • Exposure to ISO 14001 or Environmental Management Systems.
  • Experience supporting audits, compliance programmes, and documentation control.
  • Excellent organisation, attention to detail, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong analytical capability and Excel skills.
  • Experience within food manufacturing, production, or supply chain environments.
  • Knowledge of B Corp, ESG frameworks, UK/EU compliance legislation, or traceability systems would be advantageous.
  • HACCP, BRCGS, or ISO auditing qualifications are desirable.
