Polypipe Building Products are focused on delivering solutions to the residential sector. Polypipe Building Products works with national and local developers, plumbing and heating engineers, general builders and groundworkers to deliver above and below ground drainage systems, rainwater solutions as well as hot and cold plastic plumbing products.

Part of the Genuit Group, we combine long-term stability with a culture built on teamwork, accountability and continuous improvement. We encourage fresh ideas, invest in development and are committed to creating a safe, inclusive and supportive workplace where everyone feels like they belong.

Role

The Technical Estimator plays a central role in delivering accurate, compliant, and commercially focused designs and quotations for Underfloor Heating (UFH) and/or Drainage systems. This role provides trusted technical support to a wide range of customers from homeowners and installers through to merchants, developers, and national housebuilders ensuring every project starts with the right design, the right information, and the right solution.

Technical Estimators add real value by driving specification, supporting sales conversations with credible technical insight, and ensuring all outputs meet CCPI standards. Through clear designs, transparent product information, and proactive quote management and follow-up, the role directly contributes to customer confidence, stronger conversion, and long-term growth for Polypipe Building Products.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Design

  • Interpret architectural drawings, UFH layouts, and site drainage plans to produce accurate take-offs.
  • Create UFH pipe layouts and drainage material schedules in line with technical standards and building regulations.
  • Ensure all designs meet Future Homes Standard expectations and Polypipe design guidelines.
  • Validate design integrity, identify potential installation issues, and highlight risks early.
  • Apply value-engineering principles where appropriate to optimise performance and cost.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
