NOW HIRING: TWO Technical Field Service Engineers | Trucks Direct | Midlands
Trucks Direct is growing, and we’re looking for two experienced Technical Field Service Engineers to join our team.
We need engineers with strong experience across electric and IC forklifts who can diagnose faults, commission equipment and provide the level of technical support our customers expect.
The role
- Diagnose and resolve electrical and mechanical faults across a wide range of forklift models
- Carry out on site servicing, repairs and fault finding
- Complete planned maintenance and preventative maintenance
- Carry out pre delivery inspections and commission new equipment
- Diagnose faults across lithium electric and IC forklifts
- Work closely with our operations and sales teams to minimise customer downtime
- Accurately report field activity, parts usage and work completed

Essential experience
- Minimum five years’ hands on experience working with lithium electric and IC forklifts
- Strong electrical and mechanical fault finding and diagnostic ability
- Experience with modern forklift electronic control systems
- Relevant industry qualifications or recognised technical certifications
- Forklift industry experience is essential
- Full UK driving licence
We’re looking for experienced engineers who are confident working independently in the field, can communicate clearly with customers and take pride in getting the job done properly.
