Position Description

At CGI, we empower the next generation of innovators to shape the future of technology and security. As part of #GenerationCGI, you’ll join a community of graduates who are turning ambition into action and possibility into progress.

As a Technical Graduate specialising in Data Analytics and Data Science, you’ll use data to uncover insights, solve complex problems and support better decisions. You could be analysing large datasets, developing data models, building data pipelines or exploring how artificial intelligence and machine learning can create meaningful outcomes.

You’ll be trusted with responsibility from the start, working alongside experienced colleagues on live projects across a range of industries. You’ll develop your technical expertise while helping clients transform data into practical solutions that make a real difference.

Your future duties and responsibilities

In this role, you’ll apply your analytical and technical skills to help organisations understand their data, improve services and solve real-world challenges. The work will vary by project, giving you opportunities to develop experience across data analytics, data science and data engineering.

You may:

  • Analyse and interpret data: Explore complex datasets, identify patterns and communicate insights that support informed decisions.
  • Develop data models: Structure and model data so that it can be used effectively for analysis, reporting and operational services.
  • Build data solutions: Support the development of reliable data pipelines, analytical tools and software solutions.
  • Apply AI and machine learning: Explore technologies including machine learning, artificial intelligence and generative AI to address client challenges.
  • Present meaningful insights: Create reports and data visualisations that make complex information clear and accessible.
  • Collaborate across disciplines: Work with data engineers, software developers, analysts and client teams to design and deliver practical solutions.
  • Innovate alongside other graduates: Take part in early careers initiatives that go beyond your day-to-day role.

Every contribution you make will help deliver outcomes with lasting impact.

Locations

Opportunities are available in Aberdeen, Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Gloucester, London and Manchester.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
