Technical Integration Engineer
Are you passionate about connecting systems, automating processes and building technology solutions that make a real business impact? We're looking for a skilled Technical Integration Engineer to design, develop and support the integrations that underpin our digital ecosystem, ensuring secure, reliable and scalable data flows across the organisation. In this role, you'll work across a wide range of platforms and technologies, helping to deliver seamless user experiences while driving innovation and efficiency.
This role is a full-time (35 hours per week) fixed term contract until 31 July 2028. The gross annual salary is £50,244. It is a hybrid role, with a nominal office of either York or London, with average attendance of 4 times per month.
Applications close Monday 19th October at 9am. Face-to-face interviews will take place in York on Tuesday 27th October, with a task to be completed just prior to the interview.
Requirements
- Experience in API development, system integration and designing robust technical solutions.
- Strong understanding of REST APIs, web services and data exchange patterns.
- Experience integrating SaaS platforms and managing complex system interactions.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Azure technologies and cloud-based integration services.
- Experience working with identity and access management technologies, including Entra ID, SSO, SAML and OAuth.
- Understanding of integration security, authentication methods and data protection standards.
- Strong technical problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for non-technical stakeholders.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and integration projects simultaneously.
- A degree in a relevant technical discipline, or equivalent practical experience.
- Experience with tools such as Power Automate or Make.com, CRM integrations, or Agile delivery environments would be advantageous.
- The ability to work independently in a hybrid environment, with regular attendance at either our London or York office.

Responsibilities
- Designing, building and maintaining API integrations between core business platforms including Dataverse, D365 CRM, Business Central, customer portals and third-party systems.
- Developing and supporting REST-based and event-driven integrations that ensure reliable, consistent data flows across systems.
- Supporting the implementation and management of single sign-on (SSO) and identity integrations using Microsoft Entra ID and Entra External ID.
- Acting as a technical lead for integrations across a diverse SaaS ecosystem, including OpenWater, SurveyMonkey Apply, Moodle, Halo, Connect and Accredible.
- Integrating finance and business systems to ensure accurate, reliable data supports reporting, forecasting and operational decision-making.
- Developing automated workflows that reduce manual effort, improve efficiency and enhance the user experience.
- Leveraging tools such as Power Automate and other integration platforms to streamline processes and improve system connectivity.
- Supporting the use of Microsoft Azure services for integration, hosting and automation solutions.
- Establishing and maintaining integration standards, documentation and best practices to ensure secure, compliant and scalable solutions.
- Identifying opportunities to improve platform performance, reliability, automation and overall user experience.
