Technical Lead

Location: Manchester | Working Pattern: Hybrid | Salary: £85,000 DOE

Responsibilities

  • Drive engineering best practices and establish quality standards across the team.
  • Lead from the front by contributing high-quality production code.
  • Refactor existing systems and solve complex technical challenges.
  • Make architectural decisions and define scalable technical solutions.
  • Mentor engineers through code reviews, pair programming, and design discussions.
  • Support work planning, delivery management, and removal of technical blockers.
  • Help develop the capabilities of the wider engineering team.
  • Collaborate closely with stakeholders to ensure successful delivery outcomes.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of hands-on software development experience.
  • Proven experience operating at Senior Engineer or Technical Lead level.
  • Strong commercial experience with.NET Core, C#, and SQL.
  • Experience designing and delivering distributed systems and modern application architectures.
  • Strong understanding of Agile software delivery environments.
  • Experience influencing engineering teams without formal line management responsibility.
  • Hands-on experience with Git and cloud platforms such as Azure and/or AWS.
