About STOCKED
We believe current convenience food options are too “one-size-fits-all” - prescriptive, inflexible, and wasteful. At STOCKED we make award-winning meals with a difference, allowing busy foodies to eat what they want, when they want, and how much of it they want. We freeze sauce-based meals, packed full of protein and other good stuff, into handy little Blocks that can be transformed back into award-winning dishes in just a few minutes. This is a completely personal approach to convenience food which also helps you cut down on your household food waste too.
Sam & Charlie launched STOCKED in 2021 after feeling current convenience options didn’t cut the mustard. Since then we’ve delivered more than 4 million meals (10 million Blocks) to tens of thousands of customers (aka the Blockparty) across the country.
Our values:
- Love the Blockparty. Our customers are awesome. Listen and learn from them and deliver the best experience you can.
- Be ready for anything. Be resourceful with what you’ve got to get the best results you can. Get stuck in and keep calm when it hits the fan.
- Be respectful. Champion the importance of diverse opinions and what different perspectives can bring to the table.
- Think outside the box. Buck trends and set trends. Enjoy coming up with bold ideas and don’t be afraid of giving them a go.
- Keep it lean. Move fast, and don’t spend too long on things that don’t move the needle.
- Get better every day. Our product is iterative and constantly evolving. We need to do the same.
About the role
Please note: this is a 12 month fixed term contract. We’re hiring a Technical Lead to run the technical and quality systems behind everything we make. You’ll be the food safety expert for the site and own the day to day of our quality management system, making sure standards are understood on the floor, records are right first time, and issues are resolved promptly.
At the moment our technical workload is shared between the Operations team and on site Production team, with some external support. This role pulls it together under one person. You’ll help us build and maintain a culture of food safety and technical excellence and own delivery.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- Food Safety & HACCP. Maintain, continuously improve, and review HACCP plans and CCP verification and validation. Own allergen controls and segregation, run micro and environmental sampling schedules, and keep calibration, temperature monitoring and traceability watertight.
