Technical Lead | React Native | TypeScript | AWS
Remote UK | £70k-£80kpa
We’re working with a growing health and wellness technology business that is investing heavily in a new generation of digital products.
They are now looking for a Technical Lead to take a key role in the design and delivery of a modern, cloud-native platform. This is a genuine opportunity to influence architecture, engineering standards and technical direction from an early stage, while remaining hands-on with the code.
You’ll lead delivery across mobile, backend and web, with React Native forming an important part of the customer-facing product.

What you’ll be doing
- Leading the architecture and development of a new scalable platform
- Remaining hands-on with TypeScript and AWS
- Taking technical ownership of React Native applications across iOS and Android
- Building and integrating secure APIs and third-party services
- Establishing strong engineering, testing and deployment practices
- Owning mobile release processes and app-store delivery
- Mentoring engineers and helping build a high-performing development team
- Working closely with product and business stakeholders to turn commercial objectives into technical solutions
What we’re looking for
You’ll ideally already be working as a Technical Lead, Lead Engineer or experienced Senior Engineer and have strong commercial experience across:

- TypeScript
- AWS
- React Native applications running in production
- Modern cloud architecture
- CI/CD and automated testing
- Infrastructure as Code, ideally AWS CDK
- API and third-party integrations
Experience with Expo, mobile release engineering, payment integrations, offline mobile applications or health / fitness technology would be particularly useful.
This would suit someone who enjoys the combination of technical leadership and hands-on engineering, and wants considerably more influence than they might have within an established engineering environment.
Remote within the UK (preference for candidates within a commutable distance from Manchester for occasional team meetings)
