Job Title: Technical Lead
Location: Reading (Hybrid)
Contract Length: 6 Months (Extension Possibility)
Rate: £600 per Day
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership across infrastructure, cloud, cyber security, DevSecOps, data engineering, analytics, and platform services.
- Lead multidisciplinary engineering teams delivering secure, scalable, and resilient technology solutions.
- Establish technical standards, engineering best practices, and governance frameworks across the digital estate.
- Guide and mentor Systems Engineers, Data Engineers, SecDevOps Engineers, Analysts, and Technical Specialists.
- Drive adoption of Infrastructure as Code, automation, DevOps, DevSecOps, and platform engineering practices.
- Oversee Azure cloud services, hybrid infrastructure, Kubernetes, OpenShift, and enterprise platform technologies.
- Lead technical decision-making, risk management, and technology roadmaps across multiple workstreams.

- Significant experience leading technical teams within infrastructure, cloud, platform, security, or data environments.
- Extensive experience with Microsoft Azure including governance, networking, identity, security, and platform services.
- Strong knowledge of hybrid cloud and enterprise infrastructure environments.
- Experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and modern container platform architectures.
- Strong understanding of DevOps, DevSecOps, Platform Engineering, and Infrastructure as Code principles.
- Experience implementing security controls, vulnerability management, and secure-by-design practices.
- Experience with automation technologies including Terraform, Ansible, PowerShell, Python, or similar tooling.
- Strong understanding of enterprise networking, identity management, and platform security.
- Experience delivering large-scale transformation, cloud migration, or platform modernisation programmes.
