We’re hiring: Technical Lead
Shoreditch, London | Full-time, office-based
£60,000–£75,000, depending on experience
Ride Nuff is a driver-founded private hire platform built to offer Londoners a reliable ride and drivers a fairer way to work. As we prepare to grow across London, we’re looking for someone to take ownership of our technology.
This is a hands-on role for an experienced engineer who enjoys solving problems, working with partners and building better tools for the people who use them. You’ll work closely with the founders and have the opportunity to shape the technical direction of the business and build your own team as we grow.
What you’ll do
- Own our technical priorities, from urgent fixes to longer-term improvements.
- Write and review code, improve our internal dashboard and develop tools that help our operations team work more effectively.
- Manage API connections and integrations with our platform, payment and communications partners.
- Work directly with technical partners to investigate issues, agree solutions and see fixes through to completion.
- Improve our website and digital experience alongside the wider team.
- Identify practical uses for AI and emerging technology that improve our service or internal operations.
- Give the founders clear updates on technical risks, progress and decisions.

What we’re looking for
- Strong software engineering experience and the ability to build and troubleshoot across front-end, back-end and APIs.
- Experience working with external technology providers and translating business needs into technical solutions.
- Sound judgement on security, reliability and what to build first.
- A practical understanding of current AI tools and where they can genuinely help.
- The initiative to take ownership in a growing company, with the communication skills to bring others along.

Experience in mobility, marketplaces or payments would be useful, but it isn’t essential. We care most about your ability to solve problems and take responsibility for the outcome.
