Tech Lead / Engineering Lead | AI-Native Product
Salary: Up to £120,000 | Remote | Flexible Location (UK)
I’m working with a fast-growing AI-native technology company building innovative products at the intersection of AI, computer vision and document understanding.
They’re looking for a highly technical Tech Lead / Engineering Lead who can help define how engineering operates in the era of AI-assisted and agentic development.
This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who wants to combine technical direction, product thinking, architecture and engineering leadership, while actively using AI agents as part of the development process.
What you’ll be doing:
- Own outcomes rather than simply managing tickets, taking ambiguous problems through to shipped, measurable value.
- Partner closely with Product, Design and customers to understand the problem, define requirements and establish what “good” looks like.
- Own the technical approach and architecture once the problem is defined.
- Use AI-assisted development, agentic coding and multi-agent workflows to accelerate delivery while maintaining production-quality standards.
- Establish strong practices around code review, testing, evaluation and observability to ensure AI-generated work can be trusted.
- Drive technical direction across modern, cloud-native architectures, APIs and event-driven services.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to engineers.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
