Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer
Location: London, UK
Contract: 4-Month Fixed Term Contract
Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Senior Microsoft 365 Engineer to design, implement, administer, and optimize Microsoft 365 services across a large enterprise environment. The role focuses on collaboration, messaging, identity, security, governance, and automation within the Microsoft ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and support Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive, Power Platform, and Entra ID.
- Provide Tier 3 support for complex identity, collaboration, and messaging issues.
- Manage Microsoft 365 tenant administration, licensing, governance, and user lifecycle management.
- Implement and maintain security, compliance, retention, and information protection solutions.
- Administer Entra ID, Hybrid Identity, Conditional Access, MFA, and Identity Governance.
- Manage Exchange Online mail flow, transport rules, messaging security, and hybrid environments.
- Develop automation using PowerShell and Microsoft Graph API.
- Monitor platform health, performance, security, and adoption trends.
- Create technical documentation, operational procedures, and knowledge articles.
- Collaborate with security, infrastructure, and business teams on enterprise solutions.
- Mentor junior engineers and contribute to Microsoft 365 roadmap and architecture decisions.

Required Skills & Experience
- 7+ years of infrastructure/platform engineering experience.
- 5+ years of Microsoft 365 engineering and administration experience.
- Strong hands-on expertise in:
- Exchange Online
- Microsoft Teams
- SharePoint Online
- OneDrive for Business
- Microsoft Entra ID
- Power Platform
- Experience with:
- Hybrid Identity and Active Directory integration
- Conditional Access and MFA
- Microsoft Purview, DLP, Sensitivity Labels, Retention & eDiscovery
- PowerShell scripting and automation
- Microsoft Graph API
- Enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 environments
- Governance, security, and compliance frameworks
- Git/GitHub

Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
