Job Description
Primary Skills:
- Databricks platform (Apache Spark, Delta Lake, Databricks SQL)
- Azure
- Python
Key Responsibilities:
- Direct, manage, and mentor a high-performing team of 20 Data Engineers (including Lead and Senior levels).
- Foster a collaborative environment, driving technical excellence, code quality, and best practices across the engineering lifecycle CI/CD.
- Conduct code reviews, provide constructive feedback, and guide the team through complex technical challenges.
- Serve as the primary Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Databricks platform.
- Architect, design, and implement scalable, robust data pipelines and architecture utilizing Python.
- Ensure data infrastructure is optimized for performance, reliability, and security.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the Data Engineering team and cross-functional stakeholders (e.g., Data Science, Product, and Executive teams).
- Translate complex business requirements into clear, actionable technical specifications.
- Communicate project timelines, risks, and technical constraints clearly to non-technical audiences.
- Plan, prioritize, and manage the team's workload to ensure the timely delivery of key data initiatives.
- Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to make high-impact technical and architectural decisions.
- Navigate competing priorities and dynamically allocate resources to meet the strategic goals of the business.
