About the Role

The Technical Manager plays a critical role in supporting the growth and success of Flower & White. This is a hands-on position for someone who enjoys being part of the operation, building strong relationships across departments, and turning technical knowledge into practical solutions. You'll be responsible for maintaining and developing our food safety, quality and compliance systems, while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and happiness throughout the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with teams across the business to maintain our BRCGS certification, ensure compliance with relevant food legislation and customer requirements, and provide expert technical guidance to support operational excellence.
  • Act as the lead contact for customer, regulatory and third-party audits, confidently managing site audits while building strong relationships with customers, suppliers and external partners.
  • Maintain and develop our HACCP systems, review technical performance, analyse trends, and identify opportunities for improvement.
  • Oversee supplier approval processes, manage specifications across all brands and retail customers, support new product development and factory trials, and ensure customer complaints are investigated thoroughly with appropriate corrective actions implemented.
  • Be visible within the operation, collaborating with colleagues across departments, championing food safety culture and helping to create an environment where people feel supported, valued and empowered to succeed.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
