Technical Lead - Integration & Digital Solutions
We're looking for a Technical Lead to join a technology team and take ownership of a broad range of integrations, digital platforms and technical solutions across the business.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working across different technologies and solving practical technical challenges. You'll be involved in everything from EDI and e-procurement integrations, APIs and middleware through to internal web platforms, ETL processes and automation.
You won't be expected to spend all your time developing software. Instead, you'll use your technical expertise to maintain, improve and connect a diverse range of systems, while acting as a technical point of escalation for complex issues.
What you'll be doing
Integration & EDI
- Own and maintain EDI and e-procurement integrations across customers and suppliers.
- Develop and maintain integration maps using XML, CSV and JSON, primarily through the Babelway EDI platform.
- Work directly with customers and suppliers to understand technical requirements and support the onboarding of new integrations.
- Maintain and enhance internal integration scripts using PowerShell, PHP and TypeScript.
- Troubleshoot integration and data-flow issues, ensuring reliable movement of information between systems.
Development & Digital Platforms
- Provide technical ownership and support across a range of internal and customer-facing web platforms.
- Maintain and enhance PHP-based applications, including platforms built using ProcessWire.
- Support a portfolio of websites and digital applications, balancing ongoing maintenance with new development and improvements.
- Identify opportunities to improve the reliability, performance and maintainability of existing solutions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
