Shape the future of a modern software platform. Lead technical direction. Grow with a business investing heavily in engineering.

Are you a Lead Software Engineer looking for a role where your ideas genuinely influence the future of a product?

This is an exciting opportunity to join a major platform transformation, taking a key role in designing, evolving, and scaling a modern software ecosystem. You’ll combine hands-on engineering with technical leadership — helping shape architecture, champion best practices, and mentor talented developers as the engineering function continues to grow.

Why this opportunity?

  • High-impact role – influence architecture and technical strategy across a business-critical platform.
  • True technical leadership – mentor engineers, drive standards, and help create a culture of engineering excellence.
  • Transformation journey – be part of a significant modernisation programme using contemporary technologies.
  • Autonomy and influence – work closely with architects, product teams, and senior stakeholders to shape solutions.
  • Career growth – an opportunity to expand your leadership responsibilities as the platform and engineering team evolve.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
