CreateFuture is an AI-native consulting partner where people do work that matters and are supported to do it well. We work side by side with our clients, challenging what's not working and helping them to build the future.

We work alongside organisations such as PayPal, adidas, NatWest, FanDuel, and Money Saving Expert, building digital products and services that make a difference while always putting people first. Our commitment to craft, quality, and culture has helped us scale to over 600 people in just a few years.

About the role and team

We are seeking an experienced, hands-on Technical Lead with a strong background in.NET, AWS, event-driven architecture, and continuous delivery to join a team delivering and modernising a broad range of business-critical applications and services. This is very much a lead engineer role: you'll spend the majority of your time writing code, setting technical direction by example, and working closely with engineering teams and client stakeholders.

The successful candidate will work across a broad technology landscape including.NET, Next.js, and AWS. You will play a key role in building scalable, event-driven, cloud-native solutions, improving existing systems, and setting the technical bar for delivery.

This role requires someone comfortable operating within challenging technical environments, able to work closely with engineering teams and stakeholders to simplify, improve, and evolve existing services. Strong communication and stakeholder management skills are essential, as many existing platforms and services have significant operational and organisational investment behind them.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as a hands-on Tech Lead, writing production code as the majority of your day-to-day activity while setting technical direction for the team.
  • Design, develop, and maintain applications and services using.NET technologies and AWS cloud platforms.
  • Work hands-on across a broad technology landscape including.NET, Next.js, and AWS.
  • Drive continuous delivery practices, improving build, test, and release pipelines to enable frequent, low-risk deployments.
  • Identify opportunities to simplify, rationalise, and improve existing systems and services.
  • Design and implement Infrastructure as Code solutions using Terraform.
  • Support cloud-native engineering practices and platform improvements across AWS environments.
  • Contribute to frontend application development using Next.js or similar modern JavaScript frameworks.
  • Engage directly and confidently with business stakeholders, translating technical trade-offs into terms that support good decision-making.
  • Promote best practices in software engineering, maintainability, scalability, and operational excellence.
  • Support teams through technical challenges and modernisation initiatives.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
