Technical Lead – Power Platform, Automation & AI

Location: Ealing / Hybrid (some office attendance required)

Salary: £58,714-£65,000 (dependent on experience)

Contract type: Permanent – Full Time (35 hours per week, Monday to Friday)

DBS Level: Basic

We're looking for a Technical Lead – Power Platform, Automation & AI to join our Business Applications function within Information Technology. This is a pivotal technical leadership role responsible for the integrity, security, resilience and ongoing evolution of A2Dominion's Power Platform, automation, integration and AI services. You'll help drive innovation across the organisation while ensuring business-critical platforms remain secure, reliable and well governed.

Working closely with Product Owners, Architects, Digital & Innovation teams and senior stakeholders, you'll provide technical leadership across Microsoft Power Platform, enterprise automation, APIs, integrations and Microsoft Copilot capabilities. You'll play a key role in shaping future digital services, enabling smarter ways of working and delivering scalable technology solutions that support operational excellence and service transformation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership and ownership for Power Platform, enterprise automation, integration and AI services across the organisation
  • Act as the principal technical authority for Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, integration platforms and Microsoft Copilot technologies
  • Lead the development, optimisation and ongoing evolution of Power Platform services, ensuring alignment with security, architecture and governance standards
  • Own enterprise integration services, APIs and middleware platforms, ensuring reliable, secure and scalable data exchange across business-critical systems
  • Lead the design and delivery of automation solutions that improve efficiency, reduce manual effort and support business transformation
  • Provide third-line support for complex technical issues, leading root-cause investigations and delivering sustainable resolutions
  • Lead the management of APIs, connectors and integration services, ensuring compliance with enterprise architecture and security standards
  • Oversee release management, deployments and service changes, ensuring risks are effectively managed
  • Lead DevOps practices, including source control, release pipelines and automated deployment processes
  • Manage relationships with Microsoft, implementation partners and third-party suppliers, ensuring solutions meet expected standards of quality, security and resilience
  • Drive continuous improvement, reducing technical debt and increasing standardisation, reuse and operational efficiency across the technology estate

More About You

  • Degree-qualified or equivalent professional experience in IT, software engineering or a related discipline
  • Microsoft certification in Power Platform, Azure Integration Services or AI technologies
  • Significant experience designing, developing and supporting Microsoft Power Platform solutions
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise automation and workflow solutions using technologies such as Power Automate, Logic Apps and Azure Function Apps
  • Strong understanding of Dataverse architecture, governance and lifecycle management
  • Knowledge of modern integration approaches including API-led and event-driven architectures
  • Strong understanding of DevOps practices, source control, CI/CD pipelines and environment management
  • Experience managing complex technical incidents and service restoration activities
  • Ability to translate solution designs into secure, supportable and maintainable technical solutions
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder-management skills, with the ability to work effectively across architecture, engineering, operational and business teams
