Technical Lead - Microsoft 365

We are partnering with a large and highly respected organisation that is seeking an experienced Technical Lead to join its collaboration and modern workplace team.

This is an opportunity to play a key role in the design, administration, support and continuous improvement of enterprise-scale Microsoft 365 services, working within a complex technology environment and providing technical leadership across the business.

The Role

As a Technical Lead, you will act as a senior technical specialist and escalation point for Microsoft 365 technologies, supporting the ongoing delivery and development of core collaboration platforms. You will work closely with internal technical teams, service management, third-party suppliers and Microsoft to ensure services remain secure, scalable and aligned to business requirements.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical leadership for Microsoft 365 platforms across multiple tenants.
  • Administration and support of Entra ID, Exchange Online, Hybrid Exchange and Intune environments.
  • Managing tenant configurations, policies, security controls and governance standards.
  • Supporting service architecture, technical documentation and platform roadmaps.
  • Working closely with operational and engineering teams to improve service performance and reliability.
  • Mentoring and supporting more junior team members.
  • Acting as an escalation point for complex technical issues.

What We're Looking For

  • Minimum 4 years' experience supporting and administering Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Strong hands-on experience with Entra ID, Exchange Online, Intune, SharePoint and Purview.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex M365 and identity-related issues.
  • Good understanding of MFA, Conditional Access, SSO and modern identity management.
  • Experience working with Hybrid Exchange environments.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Previous experience operating within a large-scale enterprise environment.

Essential Requirements

  • Demonstrable experience supporting B2B and/or B2C Microsoft 365 environments.
  • Strong understanding of identity, authentication and collaboration technologies within both internal and customer-facing environments.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced operational setting and provide technical leadership.
  • Candidates must be eligible to obtain and maintain UK SC (Security Check) Clearance.
