Technical Lead – Verification & Validation (High Voltage) – London - £70,000 + Car Allow. + Bonus + Ex Bens – Permanent
Are you an experienced Verification, Validation & Qualification (VVQ) Engineer looking to take technical ownership of complex high-voltage products?
We're looking for a Technical Lead Engineer to drive the verification, validation and qualification strategy for advanced high-voltage power systems. This is a hands-on technical leadership role where you'll define test strategies, lead qualification programmes and work closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to ensure products meet the highest standards of safety, reliability and performance.

What you'll be doing
- Lead the technical design and execution of verification, validation and qualification (VVQ) activities.
- Develop VVQ plans, test strategies and qualification methodologies for complex hardware and embedded systems.
- Design, execute and review verification and qualification testing, producing high-quality technical documentation.
- Lead internal and external qualification programmes, including EMC, environmental and safety testing.
- Debug complex hardware and embedded software issues using oscilloscopes, logic analysers and HIL/SIL test systems.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, mechanical and manufacturing teams to improve product quality and testability.
- Work with external test houses and certification bodies to achieve product compliance.
- Provide technical leadership and mentor engineers in VVQ best practice.

What we're looking for
- Strong experience leading Verification, Validation & Qualification (VVQ) activities for complex electronic or electrical products.
- Hands-on experience testing high-voltage or power electronic systems.
- Experience developing verification plans, test procedures and qualification reports.
- Knowledge of EMC, environmental and safety qualification standards, including IEC 62368, EN61000 and related standards.
- Experience using oscilloscopes, logic analysers and HIL/SIL test environments - nice to have.
- Familiarity with test automation and validation scripting.
- Experience working with external test houses and certification programmes.
- Degree qualified in Electrical, Electronic or High Voltage Engineering (or a related discipline).
