Technical Lead

London | Up to £90,000 | Predominantly Remote

SR2 are working with a well-established technology consultancy that delivers bespoke digital solutions for a range of complex client environments.

They are looking for a hands-on Technical Lead to take a leading role across the delivery of modern software solutions. This will suit someone who enjoys remaining close to the technology but also wants to influence technical decisions, support other engineers and work directly with stakeholders to shape the approach.

You'll be joining teams working on challenging projects where there is rarely a one-size-fits-all solution. As a result, we're looking for someone who is comfortable navigating ambiguity, solving complex problems and bringing a pragmatic approach to technical delivery.

The position is predominantly remote, with occasional travel to client locations, typically a couple of times per month in the London area!

The role:

You'll take ownership of the technical direction across projects, helping teams move from initial ideas and requirements through to the delivery of robust software.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
