Job Description

Meta is seeking a Technical Logistics Specialist to assist in the design and deployment of scalable and efficient tools that support all aspects of our logistics, spares planning, asset management, warehouse fulfillment and storage & distribution operations. This role will be required to work closely with cross-functional teams and across boundary organizations to gather requirements, design solutions, implement tools and processes to support Meta Data Center operations.

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, test, deploy and maintain tools and software solutions to support internal automation opportunities
  • Work closely with software engineers to understand data structures, data sources and systematic processes during system development
  • Liaise with cross-functional teams to assist with best practices and to ensure end-to-end process and tooling consistency
  • Partner with the business and software engineers to design, deploy and maintain asset management, inventory management and logistical systems for Meta's Data Centers
  • Lead sessions to identify process inefficiencies, gather business requirements, partner with development teams to manage deliverables, testing and validation, roll-out training, and triage and resolution of issues

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of experience building scalable tools for logistics and inventory management
  • Experience with technical debugging
  • Must obtain work authorization in the country of employment at the time of hire, and maintain ongoing work authorization during employment
  • Experience explaining technical issues to both technical and business partners
  • Proficiency with SQL and understanding of database systems
  • Experience with one or more programming languages such as PHP, C++, Javascript, Python

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience building and maintaining applications using React
  • Demonstrated ability to integrate AI tools to optimize/redesign workflows and drive measurable impact (e.g., efficiency gains, quality improvements)
  • Experience with ORMs
  • Experience in implementing a Warehouse Management system, Inventory Management System or other logistical systems
  • Data Center logistics experience
  • Demonstrated ongoing AI skill development (e.g., prompt/context engineering, agent orchestration) and staying current with emerging AI technologies
  • Experience using Oracle, SAP or other ERP platforms for supply chain management
  • Master's degree in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline
  • System Architecture Design experience
  • Familiarity with web services and API ecosystems
  • Experience adhering to and implementing responsible, ethical AI practices (e.g., risk assessment, bias mitigation, quality and accuracy reviews)
  • Experience in distribution center/hub solution implementation, warehouse fulfillment, lot tracking or FIFO
