A Note on This Role

Purpose

To manage the technical requirements of Fullers Foods customers. This includes management of the suppliers, finished product specifications, facilitating the NPD process, KPI reporting, answering customer enquiries, managing and attendance of customer site visits, and to provide a high level of support to internal and external customers.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate the internal customer account team to ensure the delivery of outstanding service, aligned with the Fullers Foods Quality Management System.
  • Establish and agree product quality standards in collaboration with customers and suppliers, and monitor compliance through regular consistency panels.
  • Investigate and report out-of-specification products, ensuring timely communication with suppliers and providing customers with corrective action plans and implementation timelines.
  • Manage the New Product Development (NPD) process, ensuring specifications and quality documentation are completed, timelines are met, and products are launched on time and to agreed standards.
  • Attend first production runs with customers where appropriate, ensuring product quality and specification adherence at launch.
  • Review and analyse customer complaints weekly by supplier and product; identify trends and develop corrective action plans with suppliers. Communicate resolutions and monitor ongoing supplier performance.
  • Conduct scheduled Product Quality Inspection visits to assess supplier compliance, document non-conformances, and follow up actions in collaboration with the Compliance team.
  • Compile, review, and present KPI data to customers as part of performance and quality reporting.
  • Provide expert technical support to both internal teams and external customers, ensuring consistent and responsive service.
  • Monitor global developments affecting the technical and commercial status of sourced products, and advise the business on potential risks or opportunities.
  • Undertake ad hoc duties as required to support business priorities and ensure continued compliance and customer satisfaction.
