Job Introduction
We are looking for a Technical Manager to join our dedicated team in the Bradford Metropolitan District Council, Department of Adults, Residential and Community Services. This role is an opportunity to make a real difference in our vibrant and diverse city.
The Main Responsibilities Of This Role
- To support the delivery of residential and community services with technical support, production of performance reports and training of staff in the use of technology.
- To lead in preparation and creation of electronic systems and documents
- To produce training material for staff in the use of technology and provide instruction and guidance on complex IT processes
- To lead and understand User Acceptance Testing of systems
- To identify, troubleshoot and report issues relating to IT services
- To fully understand data privacy and GDPR and provide the service lead with training
- To support in the development of bespoke management reports
- Develop and set up systems to monitor quality control in compliance with the Care Quality Commission
- To provide cover for the Resource Planner Manager in their absence
- Understand the information requirements of Residential and Community Services, maintaining appropriate data and collection systems, liaising with other officers and stakeholders to collect data and providing information in accordance with timeframes
- Liaising with relevant Services and Departments on GIS, digital and electronic management and display of information relevant to CQC compliance
- To contribute to the technical professional development of apprenticeships and other newly appointed staff

Qualification
Graduate level or 5 years experience with the IT systems and processes in a related field.
Experience Required
- Minimum of 3 years experience in Social Care, Health or the Independent sector in leading, managing and motivating staff to deliver high quality services
- Proven track record of managing technical resources, office systems and direct contact with the public.
- Proven track record in co-ordinating and developing technical plans aimed at specific objectives and outcomes, and working with professional staff within the Council and third party providers
- Experience of project management for technical projects within pre-determined timescales
