Potensis Selection are pleased to be working in partnership with a leading residential developer to appoint a Technical Manager to join their established team.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a highly regarded developer with a strong reputation for delivering high-quality, design-led residential schemes. The role will be based on a major, multi-phase residential-led development, offering the opportunity to work on a substantial and technically complex project from the delivery phase onwards.
The Role
As Technical Manager, you will play a key role in the technical delivery of a major residential development, working closely with the external consultant team and internal departments to ensure the project progresses efficiently and to the required standards.
The role offers significant exposure across design coordination, technical delivery, and construction, with the opportunity to take responsibility for key elements of the development and contribute to the successful delivery of the scheme.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and coordinate technical information across the development
- Coordinate external consultants and ensure design information is produced in line with project requirements and programme
- Review drawings and technical information for compliance, buildability, and quality
- Work closely with Construction, Commercial, Planning, and other internal teams throughout the development
- Attend and contribute to design and technical meetings, ensuring actions are progressed effectively
- Identify and resolve technical issues and coordinate solutions with relevant consultants and project teams
- Monitor technical progress against programme milestones and highlight potential delays or risks
- Support design development and value engineering throughout the project
- Ensure technical information is issued accurately and in a timely manner to support construction
- Assist with statutory approvals, Building Regulations, warranty requirements, and relevant technical standards
- Support the project through the various stages of design and construction, ensuring a coordinated approach to technical delivery

What We’re Looking For
- Experience working as a Technical Manager, Senior Technical Coordinator, or similar
- Strong background within residential development, ideally on large-scale apartment or mixed-use schemes
- Experience coordinating external design consultants and technical information
- Strong understanding of Building Regulations and residential technical design
- Experience working closely with construction teams and other internal departments
- Strong understanding of design coordination, buildability, and technical delivery
- Excellent communication and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
- A proactive, detail-oriented approach with the ability to identify and resolve technical issues
- Experience of RC-frame, high-rise, or other technically complex residential schemes would be advantageous
