Technical Manager (Electrical) - Commissioning
UK / Europe | Hybrid | Occasional Travel
We deliver world-class commissioning and validation on some of the world's most complex mission-critical data centre projects.
We're growing and looking for an experienced Technical Manager (Electrical) to help shape the future of electrical commissioning across our European projects.
The Role
You'll become the technical authority for electrical commissioning, supporting projects from design through to handover, developing commissioning strategies, reviewing designs, driving technical excellence, and supporting project teams through complex testing and energisation activities.
What You'll Be Doing
- Develop commissioning strategies and Level 0 (L0) deliverables.
- Review electrical designs from a commissioning perspective.
- Provide technical leadership across HV/LV distribution, UPS, generators, protection systems and EPMS.
- Support FAT, SAT, Level 4 & 5 Commissioning, Integrated Systems Testing (IST), switching and energisation.
- Review commissioning documentation, test scripts and procedures.
- Provide technical support during testing, fault finding and complex commissioning activities.
- Drive consistency, standardisation and commissioning best practice across multiple projects.

What You Bring
- Extensive experience commissioning critical electrical systems within data centres or other mission-critical environments.
- Strong knowledge of HV/LV distribution, UPS systems, standby generation, protection systems and critical power infrastructure.
- Experience reviewing technical documentation, commissioning strategies and electrical designs.
- A strong understanding of commissioning methodology and integrated systems testing.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence clients and project stakeholders.
Qualifications
- HNC/HND or Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred).
- Electrical apprenticeship or equivalent practical experience.
- Commissioning Consultant (CxC) experience desirable.
- Knowledge of LEED/BREEAM commissioning requirements.
- PRINCE2 or equivalent project management qualification is advantageous.
