Responsibilities

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Technical Manager to join our food manufacturing business on a 6-month fixed-term contract. The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining food safety, quality, legality and compliance systems while ensuring continued adherence to customer, retailer, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help with managing Food Safety and Quality Management Systems.
  • Oversee HACCP systems and food safety controls.
  • Manage complaints, non-conformances, and corrective actions.
  • Support and develop technical and quality teams.
  • Help drive continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Liaise with customers, suppliers, and stakeholders.
  • Complete export paperwork and requests.
  • Support with customer requests.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven track record in BRCGS standards within food manufacturing.
  • Retail customer experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of food industry experience.
  • Level 4 HACCP qualification.
  • Level 4 Food Hygiene qualifications.
  • Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety legislation and auditing.
  • Excellent communication and leadership skills.
  • Strong knowledge of legislation.
  • Experience in export.
