This exciting and varied role is ideal for someone with strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively. Key responsibilities include providing expert technical support to customers and installers, investigating and resolving site-related issues, delivering product and installation training, and working collaboratively with internal teams to ensure the highest standards of product performance and installation quality. The role offers a diverse mix of office, home, and field-based working, as well as the opportunity to contribute to the development of future flooring products and installation solutions within a leading international flooring manufacturer.
Who are you?
Essential Criteria:
- Solid hands-on experience within the flooring industry, particularly LVT and resilient flooring.
- Strong understanding of flooring installation best practice, including subfloor preparation, moisture testing, and adhesive selection/use.
- The ability to investigate technical issues, identify root causes, and recommend practical solutions.
- Confidence communicating technical information clearly and professionally to different audiences.
- A proactive, customer-focused approach to problem solving.
- Strong organization skills and the ability to manage a varied workload independently.
- Experience producing clear and professional technical reports.
- Good working knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Teams, Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
- Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel throughout the UK.

Desirable Criteria:
- Industry-recognised flooring qualifications.
- Experience with laminate, wood, carpet tile, or sheet vinyl flooring.
- Experience delivering technical or installation training.
- Previous field-based experience in technical support, quality, or product support.
- Knowledge of British Standards and relevant flooring industry regulations.
Key Skills:
- Provide expert technical support and guidance to customers, installers, distributors, and internal teams.
- Investigate and resolve product and installation-related issues, delivering practical and effective solutions.
- Conduct site visits to assess flooring performance and installation quality.
- Deliver technical training and product presentations to customers, installers, and colleagues.
Training:
- Deliver technical and installation training to installers, customers, distributors, and colleagues.
- Help develop training materials, installation guides, and technical documentation.
- Share your knowledge and experience across the business.
- Contribute to the continued development of technical resources and best-practice guidance.
Global Collaboration:
- Work closely with Technical Managers and specialists across Europe and the wider Unilin / Mohawk Group.
- Participate in technical forums and working groups, sharing knowledge and best practice.
- Provide valuable UK market feedback to international technical and product development teams.
- Support global projects, technical initiatives, and new product launches where required.
