Technical Manager

Location: Single Site Location

Salary: £40,000 per annum

Reports to: Technical Contract Manager

We are recruiting for a Technical Manager to join a busy leisure facility, taking responsibility for the day-to-day delivery of maintenance and hard facilities management services at a single site. Working closely with the Technical Contract Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring the building, plant, and associated services remain safe, compliant, and fully operational.

This is a hands-on position suited to a technically qualified individual with experience in facilities management, building services, or maintenance environments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned preventative maintenance (PPM) programmes across the site.
  • Conduct routine inspections and maintain accurate maintenance records.
  • Manage a small team of technicians.
  • Carry out and coordinate minor reactive repairs across mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and building fabric disciplines.
  • Act as the first point of response for maintenance issues, ensuring faults are resolved promptly and efficiently.
  • Monitor and supervise specialist contractors undertaking servicing, inspections, and repair works.
  • Support the Technical Contract Manager with maintenance planning, contractor management, and project delivery.
  • Work collaboratively with site management to maintain high standards of safety, compliance, and customer experience.

About You

To be considered, you will ideally have:

  • City & Guilds qualification or equivalent plumbing or a related trade discipline.
  • Proven experience in facilities management, building maintenance, or technical services.
  • Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and a proactive, hands-on approach.
  • Experience managing contractors and service providers.
  • Pool Plant Operator qualification or willingness to obtain this after appointment.
