About the Role

As a Senior Manager, Technical Quality Assurance, you’ll lead a high-performing technical team, ensuring strategic alignment with the business’s quality, compliance, and customer-centric goals. This role requires you to:

  • Manage direct and indirect reports, driving operational excellence while balancing technical precision with business agility.
  • Champion a customer-first philosophy with a commercial mindset to safeguard brand integrity, enhance satisfaction, and minimize risks.
  • Maintain legal, ethical, and environmental compliance across all products through rigorous oversight.
  • Continuously drive efficiency by improving processes, systems, and team performance.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to define and execute strategic technical initiatives and projects that advance future-readiness.

Your Key Responsibilities

  • Leadership & Alignment

    • Manage upwards by delivering agendas to the Technical Director, ensuring alignment with wider business objectives.
    • Define and drive technical quality assurance (QA) strategies, setting measurable KPIs to measure success.
    • Champion strategic technical projects while ensuring integration with business-wide initiatives, acting as a trusted liaison among internal/external stakeholders.
  • Compliance & Risk Management

    • Ensure all Legal, Ethical, and Safety standards are met, including due diligence programs and fitness reviews.
    • Stay ahead of emerging legislation and product safety regulations.
    • Mitigate risks via returns data and customer feedback analysis, identifying root causes to streamline improvements.
    • Leverage evolving compliance legislation to champion decision insight and facilitate smooth transitions within the organization.

  • People Development & Coaching

    • Lead team appraisals and 1:1s, focusing on growth and performance.
    • Coach staff to problem-solve, resolve quality issues, and operate with technical expertise.
    • Collaborate with L&D (Learning & Development) and external partners to build team capabilities.
  • Process & System Efficiency

    • Streamline workflows, reduce redundancies, and introduce automation where possible.
    • Develop insight-driven reporting systems to support prioritization and strategy.
  • Stakeholder Engagement

    • Maintain **strong internal/externLLSal stakeholder relationships (including suppliers, brands, and regulators) to align technical objectives with business goals.
    • Collaborate across NEXT groups to challenge and evolve technical policies.
    • Conduct continuous supplier liaison to clarify NEXT WOB standards, ensuring consistent performance.
  • Onboarding & Training

    • Oversee new brand, supplier, and employee introductions through structured training programs.
    • Expand NEXT WOB cultural knowledge to secure a cohesive, informed team.

Required: Your Talent & Qualifications

  • Proven leadership experience as a Technical Manager, with a track record in QA, assurance, or compliance—demonstrable success scoring impressive results from strategic projects.
  • Strategic acumen with experience in process optimization, inClearly articulated KPI frameworks, and cross-team collaboration.
  • Versatile performer—adaptable, resilient, and unafraid of change, thriving in a fast-paced hybrid environment.
  • Fluent in Excel and equipped to navigate complex internal systems.
  • Global supplier relationship management (geographic expertise encouraged).
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills, with gifts for relationship-building and stakeholder management across all levels.
  • Proactive, solutions-focused mindset that drives operational impact.
  • Balanced autonomy and teamwork orientation, ensuring collaborative yet independent leadership impact.
  • Authenticate cultural values: respectful, inclusive, and ambitious, inspiring enthusiasm while championing psychological safety.
